A busy two weeks working at the Nottingham Playhouse on a new production of Dear Evan Hansen. Rather than video projection we were using extensive LED stage panels to display content. So as well as imagery to reflect the narrative we were also involved with the more practical lighting of the stage by creating 3d stage structures that appeared to be lit from behind. Lots of work but also managed a couple runs to explore the area. As well as creating content in Blender and After Effects we used a drone to create photogrammetry of orchards (animated in Cloudcompare).
School For Scandal at the RSC
A new production of the well known “Comedy of Manners” at The Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford directed by Tinuke Craig. Having filmed the actors prior to tech week we created various video clips for projection using Adobe After Effects. Including a ‘Portait Wall’ of moving paintings that appeared to interact with the live actors.
