Textile photography at Birmingham Museums Trust

Always challenging to light and ‘stitch’ shoot long, narrow items whilst retaining high resolution. This was the task at Birmingham Museums’ Collection Centre when I was commissioned to photograph their African textile collection. The quality of the Fujifilm GFX100s camera and it’s prime lenses was a real help. And great to work in the huge Midlands Collection Centre again!

Museum of US in Handsworth

“Museum of Us” is an exhibition curated by the residents of Somerset Road in Handsworth with the direction of curators at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. It was also the basis of a TV project on More 4:
